Wanda and the group have really changed my life. I feel a whole world has opened up with the poetry that I had not really known before.
Innovative, empowering and liberating. I loved that she openly embraced and encouraged mistakes and never put on any pressure to produce something. I rediscovered enjoyment in creativity which I feel hugely grateful for and has transferred beautifully into music making.
The bestest of bestness.
I loved it.
Wanda taught me a new style of spoken word, using the body and its natural rhythm in response to the room to externalise internal thoughts.
It was a great experience and I felt connected to my emotions physically and mentally, both as an individual and as part of the group!
Wanda is a woman with an engaging presence and the workshop I attended was fun and thought provoking. She gently encouraged us to explore the expression of our emotions in a non-threatening and enjoyable way. I came away with valuable insight and greater knowledge.
I have experienced substantial improvement to my confidence and communication to the point I feel my voice has deepened, is steady and calmer when I speak. Before I felt an imprisonment on my expression and now there is a real and true sense of freedom.
Wanda's excellent style of mentoring helped me hear music and poetry in a completely different light. People have noticed a difference in how I'm using my voice when presenting and in meetings.
Wanda creates a sense of security in the group by putting herself in equal grounds with all of the clients. Never before have I seen a facilitator accomplish this in the way she does...a truly magical group dynamic.
At the beginning I [was] out of my comfort zone. Wanda made it fun, non-judgmental and continued to reassure everyone throughout. Something I think everyone should try!
Wanda opened our students' minds to poetry in a way we have not always been able to do. She created a safe and engaging environment that allowed for participants to become 'unstuck' and write freely and passionately about issues relevant to them. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
